Delicious love, three years of ife collective

For love, the wolf licks its fur, smooths it, making it shine under the moon, which reflects the wonder of this gesture, sending it not only to the sky but also to all the beings of the earth. Cherry tree, what are your rites of love? For amber, they are eternal embraces, unions of bodies and materials that generate landscapes to get lost in. In the meantime, the snails spread their sweet and slimy trail, launching trajectories of desire capable of enchanting the eyes. And as we trace love, we touch and taste the foods that exalt us, making wishes for what has been.

Love, as a feeling of universal intertwining, without judgments, divisions, or oppression, is the theme chosen to mark the third anniversary of ife collective. To dream, weave narratives, and celebrate amorous, hybrid, and promiscuous impulses, even beyond the human, we decided to play with sweet materials of various densities and textures, inviting you to a collective sensory practice to create celebratory cakes to be shared.

The many facets of love first delighted our sense of collaboration in designing cakes that represented this impulse, and then the eager palates of those wishing to taste the bittersweet variety of emotions. A dinner intimately shared between words and writings of interspecies love was the best way to celebrate three years of activities that, day after day, place us in the position to imagine, plan, and share new approaches and processes of discovering the complexity in which we are immersed, through the languages of art intertwined with other disciplines.
