About us
ife collective is a curatorial collective curated by Eleonora Ambrosini, Carolina Ongaro and Ilaria Zampieri, interested in the critical investigation of complexity and the imaginaries derived from it. Born in December 2021 from the need to give life to multidimensional projects starting from contemporary art, it is open to contaminations, disciplines and different languages to embrace ecosystemic and sustainable visions.
Hyphae are collective and connective tissue. They generate symbiosis between different species capable of making hybrid and boundless beings. As hyphae we are system and foster systems: we are chaotic tangle of microscopic bodies, infinite landscapes, animal verses, plant communities, lateral relationships, arcane and proximate memories, mélanges of senses, endless ecosystems in this multispecies planet.
We appreciate the connections and exchanges between different microcosms, to which we silently approach. We want to express ourselves by activating an expansive and inclusive motion that is the child of the interdependence of each and every element, whether living or non-living, that governs everything and allows all and everyone to be in balance.
From contemporaneity we extract languages for the creation of heterogeneous and purposeful cultural actions. We adhere to the need to question the ways in which we confront and make the world, in order to arrive together at positive proposals toward futures born from the integration of multi-species visions.
Making accessible the pathways behind research and thinking is one of our needs, which drives us toward sharing and the desire to create a stable zone of confrontation on cross-cutting issues related to complexity, from a diffusive and potential perspective.
We want to be nourishment for the terrain in which we operate, stimulating and supporting networks of relationships between cultural practices that have decided to coexist in territories on the fringes of centers.
