Alburnee. Pratica di scrittura immaginativa per comunità boschive che verranno

curated by ife collective on the occasion of Woods Climate Camp

Bosco Lanerossi, Vicenza

Language shapes worlds, creates matter, triggers thoughts and practices; it is alive and nourishes itself from the complexity in which it is situated, even in imaginative and speculative forms. What does it mean to create words, terms, alternative alphabets?

Bosco Lanerossi and Bosco Ca'Alte are welcoming places for a variety of agents, both human and non-human, that have shaped them over time and continue to guide them, contributing to the creation of new forms and perspectives. The concern in recent months has been the threat of the destruction of these ecosystems, and even the connections and weavings formed over time are wavering in the face of accelerated prospects.

Spore, the community library of ife collective, has brought texts, practices, and exemplary and inspiring proposals, providing us with heterogeneous materials to engage with the forest, words, and stories. On the blankets, under the tent, each person developed their own vocabulary, their own alphabet, laying the foundation for the communities that will one day shape the future of our forests. After moments of imaginative silence, came the sharing: poems, embroideries, projects, narratives, visual and schematic works, but most of all, many new perspectives.
